Traveled with: My wonderful mother
Way back in June (yes , I have definitely slacked on this blog), I took a trip through Scandinavia for 12 days. For those of you who do not know, Scandinavia, includes the countries of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. You can see the route that I have taken in the picture. I flew from Philadelphia to Copenhagen, Denmark. There we stayed for about 2 full days.. Then we took the Pearl of Scandinavia cruiseship to Osla, Norway. This took an overnight trip. From there we flew to Luleå, Sweden. While in Luleå, we drove a few hours up to the Arctic Circle, to visit the Sami people and see some goregous sites, which will be mentioned in the posts to follow. Afterwards it was Stockholm, Sweden. Pheewwwwww. Overview over
.
I would like to say that even with the volcano, and British Airways strike we were able to rebook our flights. As much of a hassle as British Airways was, they do offer an open bar in flight which is great for an 8 hour flight
. Overall my favorite places were Copenhagen, the Arctic Circle and Stockholm. The following posts will be focused on this trips and will include the hotels which were stayed at and things to see. My mom did an absolutely amazing job of planning this whole trip. I will be honest with my reviews and hopefully some of the things I have learned will help a future traveler. Feel free to comment with your opinions or if you, yourself found hotels and places that are worth going to!
